Poker is a really classic casino game played with a deck of cards against other players around the table, but as the technology evolved, video poker also emerged, which actually differs a lot from regular poker. Video poker is like a mix of classic poker and a slot machine, and works to try to get a winning poker hand using five cards visible on the screen, and it is allowed to change the cards once. The first video poker machine, called Draw Poker, was launched in 1979 for land-based casinos, but since then, this type of game has evolved great, not least thanks to the internet which has now made it possible to play video poker wherever you are, even in mobile and on the tablet.
You choose how many credits you want to bet before the game begins. Then you have to try to get as good a poker hand as possible with your cards. When the first five cards are displayed, you press the cards you want to keep, and then the other cards are replaced so that you get the chance to create a better hand with your new cards. After this, the round is over and depending on how good the player has so is determined if one has won or lost.
The hands that one can get in video poker are the same as those in regular poker, and the lowest possible hand is pair in jacks. The next combination is two pairs, and even better than that is three, which means three cards of the same value. Ladder is the next hand and one means five cards in a row, such as 10, J, D, K and A. You can also get color, which means five cards of the same color, for example five cards in spades. Full house is the next step, and it means a trip along with a couple.
The next combination is four, and then the so-called Straight Flush, which means a ladder where all cards are in the same color. There are a number of different types of video poker and the most common are called Jacks or Better and Deuces Wild. The rules do not differ very much depending on the type, in Jacks or Better it is just as in the usual rules to get as the lowest couple in jacks to have the opportunity to win. In Deuces Wild, in addition to the usual cards, you also use jokers and just as you hear the name, it is the two ropes that are used to more easily create winning combinations.
